If you have a domain name and it is attached to your hosting account, then using that main domain name, you can easily create a subdomain on Hostgator.

It’s very simple and easy!

Note: If your domain name is, a subdomain is anything of the form, In this guide, the subdomain name is “store.”

Here is a step-by-step guide that will show you how to create a subdomain in cPanel.

Step 1: Login to Your cPanel.

Step 2: Go to Domains Tab and Click on Subdomains Icon.

Step 3: A Subdomain Screen will open. So fill all the details to create a Subdomain on Hostgator as shown in the picture.

  • Enter the subdomain name and select the right main domain name from the drop-down list.
  • Now click on the document root field. The document root will be generated automatically when you click on the field. (/public_html/subdomain_name)

Step 4: Now Click on the Create Button.

Step 5: Subdomain (store. has been created successfully.
