How to Create a MySQL Database on Hostgator?

Step 1: Login into the cPanel and click on the Websites > Databases > and then on MySQL databases.
Step 2: Here, create a new database user. Enter the username and password… and click on the create user button. A new user will be created successfully.
Step 3: Now create a new database. Enter the database name and click on the create database button.
Point to Remember: Note down the database name, db_user and db_password. You will need them!
Step 4: After that, just add the new user to database that you have created in step 2.
- Select the Database User and select the Database Name from the drop down list.
- Click on the add button to add the user to database.
Step 5: On the next screen, check the all privileges option and click on the save changes button.
You have successfully created a new database.
Now you have to add all these information – db_name, db_username, and db_password in the wp-config.php file of the WordPress.
